Westland High School Gymnastics team

The Westland High School Gymnastics team recently competed in Christchurch.

We had a great day in Christchurch June 12th at the new Christchurch School of Gymnastics in New Brighton. The Westland High School year 7 and 8 Gymnastics Team competed in the Canterbury Primary Schools Gymnastics competition.

The students had trained hard and it showed.

• Abby Brokenshire, Jessie Smith, Thomas Bisdee, Riley Fleming - 1st OVERALL TEAM Silver  
• Grade Riley Fleming - 1st RINGS Silver Grade
• Thomas Bisdee - 3rd FLOOR Silver Grade and 3rd RINGS Silver Grade

Although they did not place, our individuals - Isabel and Alice also gave very solid performances that we can be proud of.
