Congratulations to all our students who achieved University Entrance and NCEA endorsements.
We held an awards assembly today to present awards to those students who received University Entrance and NCEA endorsements through their NCEA results.
The awards assembly is to recognise academic high achievement by students in 2020 and acknowledge those students who achieved subject endorsement in one or more subjects, and those students who achieved a Level Endorsement and University entrance. Congratulations to all those students who achieved at this level.
Course endorsements
A Merit course endorsement requires a minimum of 14 credits at Merit or excellence level in the course.
An Excellence course endorsement requires a student to gain a minimum of 14 credits at Excellence Level.
Typically a course will offer 20-24 credits for the year. To achieve a course endorsement, a student would need to achieve predominantly at a high level throughout their year and in examinations.
Level Endorsements
A Merit Level endorsement requires a student to gain a minimum of 50 in Merit or Excellence credits across their courses at that Level.
An Excellence Level endorsement requires a student to gain a minimum of 50 in Excellence credits across their courses at that Level.
To achieve a Level endorsement, a student would need to achieve predominantly at a high level throughout their year and in examinations, across all or most of their subjects. They will likely have achieved a subject endorsement in one or more of their subjects
University Entrance
University entrance (UE) is the minimum requirement to go to a University in New Zealand. To gain UE students must have taken at least 3, Level 3 University Entrance approved subjects and have achieved 14 credits in each of those subjects. They will also have had to achieve Level 2 or above Literacy and Level 1 or above numeracy.
