Meet our new Sports coordinator and Sports hub Administrator

We are lucky enough to welcome Miss Kiana Gallon back to Hokitika to work with us. Kiana comes with a wealth of experience and expertise.

Kia ora everyone!

My name is Kiana Gallon and it is such a pleasure to have joined Westland High School as the new sports coordinator and Sports Hub administrator. 

I grew up in Hokitika and as an ex pupil of Westland High School, I was fortunate enough to develop my love for sport. I was very passionate about netball which allowed me to gain a sports scholarship to St Margarets Collage in my senior year then transfer to Lincoln University where I completed my bachelors degree in Sport and Recreation Management. 

I have recently returned home from living in England where I was based for two years gaining work experience in various schools as a sports developer and coach. I am very fortunate to be given this opportunity to work alongside many experienced teachers, staff members and talented individuals within our community. 

To book any of the Sports Hub facilities, we currently have a link on the DWC Westland Sports Hub facebook page which directs you to our sports hub calendar. This allows you to view the availability for bookings. You can then email myself for any enquires!
