Matariki stars
Some of the Junior students have been painting stars to be displayed at the Puanga - Matariki festival
The J Te reo class and a few other students from the junior classes have been busy painting large stars for display around the town during the Puanga - Matariki festival.
One of the stars represents Pohutukawa, the name of one of the stars in the Matariki cluster. The other star represents harvest and new growth, synonymous with Matariki.
The stars will be on display in the Pakiwaitara building along with the Mid winter Christmas tree festival.
