West Coast Senior swimming sports

On the 15th of June, 8 of our senior Westland High School students competed in the West Coast swimming championships held in Westport.

It was a quick turnaround for events due to the limited number of swimmers meaning they were racing with little time to rest!

We competed in two different relays against 3 other high schools from the Coast (200m medley relay and 200m freestyle relay with teams of 4). Both of our relay teams came out on top with a double win. Our students demonstrated great sportsmanship and encouragement for their pairs and competitors from other schools.
