Poetry week
06 Sep
We held Poetry week at Westland High this year. What a great way to celebrate students literary aspirations.
Poetry Week was held here at school in the Library and we ran a Hapu Poetry Competition to celebrate it!
Entries had to be submitted to the Library or shared with Mrs O’Malley digitally via the entry form. Each person could enter as many times as they wanted, provided they used the entry form each time. Each valid entry received 1 x Hapu point. There were winners for Junior, Middle school and Senior divisions. Students could also use a poem they had written as part of their classwork, or something they had written in their own time. Poems were displayed in the library.
Well done to all the students who participated. Congratulations to the below students who placed.
