Team Westland took out 1st place in the Mixed teams event and also 1st overall place out of all the schools in the Kathmandu Coast to Coast

Wahoo we have School World Multisport Champions, Team Westland took out 1st place in the Mixed teams event and also 1st overall place out of all the schools in the Kathmandu Coast to Coast

Day one they took an awesome lead of 45 mins!  Ainhoa ran from the beach to Kumara to tag Tim, Tim biked his heart out to Aitkens Corner to meet Nate.  With a smooth transition Nate had a fantastic 34 km run up and over goat pass and out to Klondyke corner, completing in 4 hours.

Day two – Tim was placed in the 3rd start group for the bike from Klondyke to Mt White turnoff, Nate then sprinted to the Waimak kayak transition, then we put Aiinhoa into the river, another very smooth transition (we wondered why it went so smooth) she was off down the river for 70km to Gorge Bridge – doing an amazing time 5 and 1/2 hours, she jumped out of the kayak swapped timing band with Nate who then ran up the hill to Tim who was waiting at the bike transition, Tim rode his heart out for the last 70km!  Total lead by the end of the 2 days was a fantastic 1 hours 16 mins!

They all trained there hearts out for 12 months and it paid off
