Canned food drive

What a fantastic response we had for our non uniform day.

Our non uniform day for Diabetes - Blue day was held and instead of bringing a gold coin we asked for canned food for the local food bank. Christmas can be a stressful time for families and we wanted to help fill the food bank in the hope to make Christmas a little easier for Hokitika whanau. 

Thank you to everyone who contributed. We were so happy with the response from everyone. Especially as we only had the Junior and Middle school students left at school to contribute. However we still had some of our Senior students coming back to drop off items  to support the cause as well. 

You can still support the Food bank at home too! Local support services are running the annual Food Drive on Wednesday 13th December from 5.30pm. You can help buy having your non perishable food items ready to donate when they drive past.
