Canterbury Athletics success

Max Johansson and Tamsin Gillespie have been achieving great things in the athletics world recently.

Max Johansson and Tamsin both went over to Christchurch to compete in the Canterbury Secondary Schools Athletics. This is an achievement in itself, however not quite finished with that both of our resident athletic stars achieved some amazing things while over there. 

Max finished 7th in his 100m final and came a phenomenal 2nd in his 200m final!  While Tamsin really dug deep to pull out a personal best and place 4th in the 1500m and 7th in the 800m. What a stellar effort from both athletes. 

This has meant that both Max and Tamsin have qualified for the South Island Secondary Schools' Championships which is held in the Invercargill from 31st March to 2nd April.
