Cross country representation
We've had a number of students succeeding in regional and even national cross country events
Last term Tamsin Gillespie and Jessie Smith participated in the National Cross Country held in Nelson. Jessie placed 77th in her race and Tamsin placed 42nd. An exceptional effort from both of them at a very competitive and challenging level of racing. The girls have been inspired by their experience and with the addition of a relay event are keen to train with others next year to improve. Congratulations girls.
Also last term we had a group of students qualify and compete in the Junior Canterbury cross country. The team consisted of Ruby Martin, Ainhoa Alkorta, Kaysie Grant, William Johansson, Layla Thompson and Cooper Gaskell. All the participants showed vast amounts of strength, determination, and courage which is needed when competing in such an event. It was a great experience for all participants. Thank you to the parents for their support.
