International Programme End of Year Programme and Farewells

Our international students who are not taking their NCEA exams have enjoyed a month-long programme of events including trips to Okarito and the Christchurch A & P show.

While our domestic students are busy studying, our international students have been busy volunteering at the West Coast Riding for the Disabled, doing a beach clean up, working at the Okarito Plant Nursery, covering books in the school library and also enjoying some kayaking, a visit to the Christchurch A & P Show and a wonderful boat trip on the Okarito lagoon. We appreciate it when our students give back to the community who have hosted them. 

Next week we will say good-bye to Sakina from Japan who has been with us all year and Isabella from Austria who has had the last two terms with us. We wish you both well for the future and know that Hokitika and Westland High School will always have a special place in your heart.
