Junior Korfball

The first West Coast Korfball tournament was held between Westland High School junior players and St Mary’s School teams.

Year 13 students Lauren Graham and Kalib Palmer coached the Westland Woofpack ( who won their game) and the Westland Wizards (who lost to St Mary’s). St Mary’s won the tournament trophy.

Lauren and Kalib have been playing for three years and coaching this year. They were inspired by WHS teacher Sarah Bateup’s korfball success on the international stage.
