Middle school Outdoor Education class Tramp

The middle school Outdoor Education class encountered legitimate winter tramping conditions on their overnight trip at the end of term two.

With snow and ice on the track, above 900m, travel was at times challenging and a bit more like ice skating. Nearly a foot of snow needed to be cleared for campsites and the family cooking area.

Students worked hard to stay warm and dry - with varying levels of success. They could not have asked for better weather conditions - still, dry, cold and clear with beautiful views into the big hills. Well done to everyone involved.
