Outdoor Education – expanding our horizons

On the 13th to the 16th of August the Year 12 and 13 Outdoor Ed class went on a mountaineering and snow caving trip that was put together by students from Tai Poutini Polytechnic

We stayed 2 nights at the Temple Basin Lodge and 1 night in a snow cave. We learnt heaps of skills and information from mountaineering, snow caving to how to do a avalanche rescue. It was such an amazing experience and we all really enjoyed it. It was definitely going to be something we will never forget. -
