WCSS Year 9 & 10 Basketball Tournament

The Year 9 & 10 secondary school basketball tournament, organized by Greymouth High School, saw some exciting action and standout performances from our team.

The tournament got off to a fantastic start with a decisive win in the first game, featuring a stellar defensive effort from Korah Wilson. Our second game against SWAS was equally impressive, showcasing our team's positive mindset and scoring capabilities. Joe Kennedy played a crucial role, demonstrating strength in both offense and defense.

We topped our pool and advanced to the semifinals, facing JPII in a nail-biting game. Despite a strong start, we lost our composure towards the end and narrowly missed out on the final. In the 3rd and 4th place playoff against Greymouth High School, we secured a commendable 3rd place finish.

It was a great achievement for our team, and we’re already looking forward to the upcoming 3X3 Junior South Island Secondary School Basketball tournament. Stay tuned for more exciting updates!
