World Vision Youth Leadership conference 2021

Our Head students and student leadership attended a World Vision conference recently in Christchurch.

Head Students and student leadership from Westland High School and Greymouth High School (Logan Grainger, Kaiah Priest, Scott Martini, Leila Nolan, Jasmine Barry, Clark Fountain and Jack Bolton) attended the World Vision Youth Conference 2021 in Christchurch recently.

The conference provided youth leaders with an engaging platform to encourage the 40 hour famine on behalf of those in need across schools in New Zealand. The Youth Conference provided a lot of information on how we can run the 40 hour famine and also how that one small contribution can lead to a massive impact.

There are so many people that are suffering and need our help now more than ever. During our time away we met other people from other schools and discussed with them how they are going to help contribute to this “Hunger Pandemic”.

On our way home from the conference everyone was so ecstatic on how we can help and make a difference. We all recommend to anyone who can get the opportunity to go to the conference that they take it, because it was so inspiring and eye opening for us.
